PURPOSE:To provide a recording material excellent in the preservability and the head matching property by providing a protective film made of a hydrophobic resin exceeding a specified softening point on a heat sensitive color developing layer containing a diazo compound, a coupler, a hot melting substance and a binder. CONSTITUTION:A heat sensitive color developing layer containing a diazo compound (preferably, the one in the form of a non-water soluble salt such as fluorate containing -BF4 and -PF6 and the like as given by the formulasI, II and the like), a coupler (e.g. 2,6-dihydroxy-3,4-dibromo-4-methoxy benzoic acid), a hot melting substance (e.g. amido stearate) and a binder (e.g. polystylene) are provided on a supporting body and a hydrophobic resin (with a softening point of more than 120 deg.C, preferably more than 140 deg.C (e.g. polystylene, polyester or stylene/vinyltoluen copolymer) is formed thereon as a film at a thickness of 1- 10mu. |
