PURPOSE:To improve the test efficiency and reliability, without using a special test device, by automatically testing all signal lines of a signal converter with an audio frequency signal device and an exchange controller. CONSTITUTION:After providing a short line LP for reception and transmission lines R and S relating to trunks 1-1-1-n corresponding to a signal converter 2, an instruction transmitting a digital test signal from a signal transmission and reception device 6 of an audio frequency signal device ATS from a typewriter 9 to an exchange controller 8 and a test instruction receiving and confirming a return signal via each short line LP are inputted to the device 2 via a time division switch 3. The device 8 receiving this instruction sequentially controls the device ATS, the switch 3 and the device 2, the test signal from the device 6 is folded at the line Lp and the reponse signal is received at the device 6. The response signal is discriminated with a predetermined criterion and the result of test is displayed on the typewriter 9 via an alarm transmitter 7 and the device 8. |
