Cooler for hot bulk material - has air pipes wrapped in asbestos strip where they pass through cooling vessel walls

The material cooler is particularly for hot material in bulk. It comprises a box-section cooling vessel through which the material is transported from top to bottom by gravity. Pipes run transversely through the vessel, through which cooling air is blown. The pipes (2) are secured in the opposite walls (3) of the vessel (1), their ends being wrapped in asbestos strip (6) where they pass through the holes (4) in the walls. Tightening devices (7) thrust the pipe peripheries and the asbestos strip against the edges of the holes.
