The invention relates to a matting pit frame with several rectilinear profile parts which are held together at the corners by corner pieces. The horizontally running profile legs (2) and the vertically running profile legs (1) are provided with fluting (7) which extends rectilinearly over the profile length. On their inside, the corner pieces have fluting corresponding to the profile legs. Due to the fluting, the profile legs and the corner pieces can be quickly fitted together, and in the assembled position the flutes hold on the profile parts and improve the anchorage of the matting pit frame in the concrete. <IMAGE>
