<p>The rapid coupling system is used to mount satellite grinding discs (2) on each of the several drive shafts (4) of a stone polishing machine. It uses a screw-on mandrel (1) to house a grinder base plate (31), secured by retraction sprung (13) headed studs (14), engaging circumferential keyholes sited over cavities (32). The studs may pass through axial holes in the mandrel to screw (16) into a ring (10). Springs (13) sited between the ring and the mandrel constrain the studs to pull the grinder onto the mandrel. A special forked hand lever with fulcrum lugs engaging a groove may counteract the springs during mounting and demounting, serving to move the ring towards the mandrel.</p> |
