PURPOSE:To make a cuttlefish usable for longline fishing in a satisfactory condition of form retention, by keeping the arms, head, and body of a bait of cuttlefish with a holding jig inserted through them, followed by hanging the body by the curbed holding fixture. CONSTITUTION:The inserting part of the holding jig 1 is inserted from near the mouth of a cuttlefish positioned at the almost central part of the bace of the arms d of the cuttlefish A through the head C to the body d approximately along its axial direction until it is stopped by the curved part 7. The body d of the cuttlefish is hung by the curved holding fixture 11 attached to the hole 15 equipped on the end part 13 of the long and narrow rod so that the cuttlefish A is held. The arms d and head c of the cuttlefish A are held in connected condition with the body d by the long and narrow rod 5. The holding jig 1 consists of the hairpin type long and narrow holding part 3 and the holding part 7 for hanging attached to the holding part 3, the long and narrow rod 5 has the hole 15 at its end, and the curved holding fixture 11 consisting of two retaining pieces is attached to the hole 15. |
