<p>A housing with a cylindrical chamber in which two plunger discs opposed to each other are attached by cylindrical segments, forms a servo mechanism for a remote-controlled valve. One segment supports a rack with which a pinion fixed on an output shaft engages. The output shaft is aligned transversely to the housing and to the line of motion of the plungers, and is supported by bushes in bosses formed integrally with the housing. There is at least one inlet for a pressurised medium, and there may be a push back spring. On the circumference of the plunger arrangement, in blind holes with a constriction at the neck, slide blocks of a material e.g. PTFE act as guides. The design is much simpler and only a small number of sealing devices is necessary.</p> |
