A foam material article (1) provided with a covering comprising a fabric (4) and a layer (5) of a material impermeable to air. Elastic binding means are provided between the fabric and the material impermeable to air. Said elastic binding means can, for example, comprise an adhesive. Thereby sufficient reciprocal movement between the fabric and the material impermeable to air is possible so that the manufacture of the article is facilitated and wear is reduced.
