PURPOSE:Titled rust-preventing agent which is odorless, harmless to workers and excellent in rust-preventing ability, comprising a combination of a specific polyfunctional alcohol type primary amine and an alkali metal nitrite. CONSTITUTION:Into water are dissolved (A) a 3-6C polyfunctional alcohol type primary amine having 1-3 amino groups and the sum of the numbers of amino groups and hydroxyl groups, of 3 or 4, such as 3-amino-1,2-propanediol or 1,3- diamino-2-propanol, said (A) being used in an amount of (0.4X1/number of amino groups of amine used-0.8X1/number of amino groupsf of amine used) %, and 0.2-0.4% of (B) an alkali metal nitrite such as sodium nitrite. |
