<p>The invention describes a building of which cladding panels (60) serve as solar heating panels when filled with sun's rays absorbing liquid and as a thermal insulator when the panels are empty. The panels when optically clear also provide glazing for the building. The building is suitably a greenhouse, Fig. 8. The specification also describes a general purpose heat exchanger for a solar heating panel in which the face of the element which faces the sun's rays is substantially transparent and the water inside the element is heated in that the absorbable heating rays are absorbed by the coloured front face of the rear panel, which is in contact with the water. The water may be rendered heat absorbing, for example by being coloured with a tint in order that the water itself will absorb said rays. <IMAGE></p> |
