PURPOSE:To detect speed quickly and accurately by counting period of output pulse train from a pulse generator attached to a servomotor and finding a reciprocal of the period accessing a memory making the period an address. CONSTITUTION:A pulse is generated at each specified angle of rotation of a servomotor from a rotary encoder connected to the shaft of the servomotor, and impressed to an S-R type FF 103 through a waveform shaping circuit 102. The FF 103 is set or reset synchronizing with falling of clock pulse. A counter 104 counts the period of output pulse train from the rotary encoder 101 basing on the output of the FF 103 and clock pulse. Reciprocal of pulse period is stored in an ROM 111. The ROM 111 is accessed according to the contents of the counter 104 and speed is detected using the reciprocal of pulse period read out. |
