PURPOSE:To reduce vibration of a steering wheel and to increase the strength and stiffness of the wheel section by forming the wheel section with a composite material in which light alloy material and inorganic fiber is combined to an integral form. CONSTITUTION:A sleeve 1 to encase a steering column is formed in the center. Spoke sections 2 of any suitable number are disposed around the sleeve 1 in the radial direction. An annular wheel section 3 is attached to the outer extremity of the spoke sections. The wheel section 3 is formed with a composite material 4 in which inorganic fiber is combined integrally with a base material of light alloy material such as aluminum alloy or magnesium alloy. |
