APPARATUS FOR REPAIRING THE FURNACE LINING WITH A SHOOTING PIPE OF NON-CIRCULAR HOLLOW CROSS SECTION

A gunning apparatus for repairing the furnace lining which is provided with a shooting pipe of non-circular hollow cross-section is disclosed. The shooting pipe of above cross section slidably moves back and forth within a rocking sleeve by a slide mechanism while the shooting pipe is unrotatable relative to the slide mechanism and is rotatable only by the rotation of the slide mechanism whereby the shooting pipe is manupilated without weadening the rigidity or strength thereof which usually occurs on the circular shooting pipe which requires keyways for rotation thereof.
