PURPOSE:To obtain a superior screen plate material developable with water alone by using a photosensitive resin composition contg. a specified amount of acrylamide as an amido group giving unsatd. monomer. CONSTITUTION:A water dispersible polymer latex soln. is prepared contg. acrylamide and a lipophilic unsatd. acid such as acrylic acid as essential components and other copolymerizable monomer such as styrene or acrylate. The amount of the acrylamide is adjusted to 5-40wt% to the total amount of the monomers of the latex, and the amount of the unsatd. acid to <=20wt%. The latex soln. is reacted with an unsatd. epoxy monomer to prepare polymer latex which is redispersible in water after being formed into a film. A photosensitizer and a crosslinkable oligomer are then dispersed and dissolved in the latex to produce a photosensitive resin composition. This composition is coated onto a screen and dried, and an image positive film is allowed to contact to the resulting photosensitive film followed by exposure and development with water alone. The nonexposed portion of the latex is readily redispersed in the water and removed. |
