<p>A process for preparing novel 2-substituted(or 2-unsubstituted)-5a-aryl-decahydrocyclopentc!azepines, which is characterized by reducing the corresponding 1oxo-decahydrocyclopentc!azepine, optionally followed by alkylation or acylation, is described herein.
