PURPOSE:To form an image of a part of an original by only conforming a part which requires an image formation of the original with an image formable area, by providing a variable means for making its image formable area variable, on an original placing surface. CONSTITUTION:In case when a part of an original 5 is copied, the original 5 is placed on an original placing surface 4, and a lamp switch 12 is turned on. Thereafter, the first adjusting switches 10a, 10b are turned on, the first frame crosspieces 6a, 6b are moved, respectively, and they are made to coincide with sides A1, A2 of a part S of the original 5. As a result, shutters 15, 15 move in accordance with a moving extent of the first frame crosspieces 6a, 6b, and both end sides of an electrostatic charger 14 are shielded. By this shielding, a photosensitive drum 13 is charged by an electrostatic charge width (w), and other part becomes a non-charged state. This electrostatic charge width (w) corresponds to a size between the firs frame crosspieces 6a and 6b, and the outside parts T1, T2 of the first frame crosspieces 6a and 6b correspond to the non-charged area of the photosensitive drum 13, therefore, an area between a pair of the first frame crosspieces 6a, 6b becomes an image formable area, and the outside area becomes an image unformable area. |
