PURPOSE:To effectually use a space, by composing an adjuster of a grabbing mechanism for plural containers, a drive mechanism for moving the grabbing mechanism toward the middle point between the juxtaposed containers, and guide members for the grabbing mechanism, to juxtapose the containers at a reduced distance. CONSTITUTION:To adjust the distance between juxtaposed containers C, the grabbing arms of a container grabbing mechanism H are first closed toward each other to pinch the containers at the upper edges by grabbing claws 13. After the grabbing mechanism H is pulled up, the motor 1 of a drive mechanism D is driven to move linkages 2, 3 so that the rollers fitted on the tips of links 3 are led by the guide grooves of guide members G toward the middle point O between the juxtaposed containers C to reduce the juxtaposition distance between the containers C. The whole adjuster is then moved up and down to put the containers C on a pallet. After that, the grabbing arms 10 pinching the containers C are released therefrom. According to this constitution, the containers C are juxtaposed at a reduced distance to enhance the degree of utilization of floor space. |
