PURPOSE:To prevent accidents from being generated due to the operation miss for pack medium loading, by detecting the loading state of the pack medium cover to inhibit the start-up operation. CONSTITUTION:When pack medium 6 is put on spindle 7 of the magnetic disc pack unit, inhibiting circuit 5 is operated by cover fitting and removing signal (a) since the light from a light source does not reach the photodetecting element; and when the driving start operation is performed under this state, driving start signal (b) is transmitted, however, the operation of driving start circuit 9 is stopped by inhibiting signal C from circuit 5, and spindle motor starting signal (d) is not transmitted, and spindle motor driving circuit 10 is not operated, and spindle motor 11 continues the stop state. Next, when pack medium cover 1 is lifted and removed after loading of medium 6, the shielded light from the light source reaches the photodetecting element, and therefore, respective circuits are operated normally by this operation. As a result, accidents are prevented from being generated due to the operation miss for pack medium loading. |
