PURPOSE:To increase the process efficiency by detecting the number of the continuous coincidence units after comparison between the preceding data block and the subsequent data block and in correspondence of the position of the intrablock codes at the time of data compaction and then replacing the detected number into the correspondence codes of the subsequent data block for compaction. CONSTITUTION:In the trasmission device, the data equivalent to one preceding block and the data equivalent to one subsequent block are stored in shift registers 3 and 2 each to be then shifted by the signal sent from line 7. And the characters at the corresponding positions of both blocks are compared to each other at comparator 8. And when the coincidence is obtained in the above comparison, count control circuit 9 carries out counting. While in case no coincidence is obtained, the count number is cleared. And the characters of disagreement are supplied to shift register 4 and then sent to transmission buffer 5. When the number of the units of coincidence becomes >=3, writing circuit 11 is started through circuit 9. And the contents of two characters in register 4 are rewritten by the character coincidence signal, and at the same time gates 16 and 17 are turned off to inhibit the input to register 4. After this, the number of units of coincidence are counted. And when the disagreement is secured, the number of coincidence is set at the rear part of register 4 for transmission. |
