<p>The air cushion boat has an all round type skirt (6) and a jet to give direction. It has a rectangular shell with a flat bottom. At the bottom of the sides are the skirt and air pipes. The direction jet is at the rear and takes air from fans (22). Pipes under the jet (8,9,10) feed into the skirt. These are sloped front, back and sideways. These can be controlled by flaps which cover the pipes in a selective way. By these pipes, the boat can also be steered in any direction.</p> |
