The clock housing consists of two compartments (1,2) the lower of which holds the movements, the hand shafts (5-8) extending into the upper compartment The top surface of this compartment is cut-away (16) to allow a short closed end cylinder (20) tobe inserted this having a transparent rim annulus (15) carrying the alarm time markings. The alarm time is set by a 'Z' shaped hand (12,22) positioned behind the annulus. The normal hour face card (14) and hands (9-11) are set within the cylinder and are protected by a face glass (13).</p> |
