PURPOSE:To prevent the breakage of the junction of a rotor bar and an end ring by contacting a pushing plate for an iron core to the side of an end ring taking place of a contact plate for welding, and welding up to the surface of the pushing plate. CONSTITUTION:A rotor bar 1 is inserted into a slot 12 provided in a pushing plate 6. The pushing plate 6 is contacted to iron-core side of an end ring 4 so that the pushing plate 6 acts the role of a contact plate for welding the end ring 4. The half of an outer periphery 13 of the pushing plate 6 is machine cut to the level which is flush with the outer surface 14 of the end ring 4, thereby the stepped down outer surface 15 is formed. The outer surface 14 of the end ring de is welded up to the lower outer surface 15 of the pushing plate 6. In this method, since there is no unwelded portion on the outer periphery of the end ring 4, cutouts are not yielded at the boundary between the unwelded portion and the hardened welded portion, and cracks are not generated. |
