The position indicator corrects for the deviation of the actual value from the desired value occurring when the indicator is subjected to sideways inclination. It has an additional ferro-magnetic insert in the pendulum and magnet. The magnet and the insert are arranged opposite each other with the magnet mounted in the pendulum and the insert in the control element carrier. The position indicator is adjustable. It includes a cover contg. an axle carrying a gear wheel, and a pendulum with a top marking. A further axle carrying two gear wheels; a further gear wheel with a marking; a housing and the magnet are also provided. The position indicator rotation is applied via a dog on the housing. It can operate in practically any installed position.
