The arrangement is intended for preventing bridging of material in a silo (1). It comprises a number of wedge shaped brake elements (8-11) fitted inside the silo wall (3) which are inclined relative to the silo bottom (4) and project into the silo space. Each element consists of a flat downward and inward inclined central portion (12'15) and lateral portions, of which one (14) projects inward from the wall (3) at an obtruse angle, whilst the other one (24) extends in the same plane as the central portion. The elements may be arranged in the silo at different levels.
