PURPOSE:To improve sensitivity as an X-ray absorbing body by providing a radiation absorbing solid to one of counter electrodes and providing an electrostatic latent image receiving body to the other and filling insulating liquid between both electrodes. CONSTITUTION:An electrode 3 and an electrode 6 are opposedly provided in a vessel 1 of insulating liquid 2 and a solid X-ray absorbing body 8 having a wall of multiple pores parallel with the X-ray incident direction is mounted to the electrode 6. A film 4 as an electrostatic latent image receiving body is disposed to the electrode 3. When X-rays 11 are radiated to the subject 10 and DC voltage is applied between the electrodes 3 and 6, the X-rays having transmitted through the subject 10 ionizes the liquid 2 and let the same be absorbed in the absorbing body 8. As a result of this, electrons 13 of relatively high energy are released into the liquid 2 to further ionize the liquid 2 and respective ions form an electrostatic latent image on the film 4. |
