<p>The invention is related to the field of sheet handling. Receptacle for a stack of sheets in a sheet dispensing machine, comprised of a parallelepipedic box (1) having a movable face (2) about one of its sides (3), characterized in that it comprises a plate (7) connected to said face on the inner side of the box and slightly slidable against said face along a direction perpendicular to the rotation axis of said movable face, means being provided on the plate and on said face cooperating with a handling tool (33) to effect the sliding of said plate, said plate further comprising means cooperating with said box so as to provide for the closing of said moving face, a locking member in a closed position being further provided, said locking member having an element for incrementing an adder counter (6) located inside the box, as soon as the unlocking is performed, said unlocking being provided by said handling tool (33).
