PURPOSE:To thinly coat an offset-preventing agent evenly on fixing roller with simple constitution by supplying and stagnating the grease-form offset-preventing agent of the specified formulation in the spacing between a blade member and the fixing roller. CONSTITUTION:A grease-form offset-preventing agent 13 comprising compounding carbon black in silicone oil as base oil supplied on the surface of a fixing roller 1 by heat-resistant felt 12 containing said preventing agent 13 stagnates in the spacing part between a blade 20 in contact with the roller 1 in its forward direction and the roller 1. As a result of this, the preventing agent 13 is thinly and evenly coated on the surface of the roller 1, the generation of vibrations in the roller 1, blade 20, etc. is obviated and the offsetting of toner images is stably prevented over a long period of time by the simple constitution. In addition, the occurrence of winding of toner image carrier paper C to the roller 1 is prevented as well. Here, the similar results are also obtained even by using urea resin, silica, clays, metal soap, molybdenum disulfide and graphite for the compounding agent of the offset-preventing agent. |
