<p>The instrument panel for motorcycles has a common housing for speedometer and clock. The housing consists of two halves (5) and (6) joined together by hinge (7) and with locks (8) and (9) fitted on the opposite side to the hinge. The instruments are accommodated in corresponding recesses of the housing part (5) and the upper end of the recesses is covered by glass pane (1a). The housing is provided with a system of channels arranged in such a way that the complete housing, when fitted on the handlebar elements (17) and (24) is inclined by (20) degrees from the vertical to it easy for the rider to read the instruments. The housing is also provided with channels for the speedometer cable and leads for the instrument lighting supplied by a battery fitted in the recess (16).</p> |
