摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a good adherence of the positive electrode compound to the positive electrode can and separator of a cell, by inserting a stem, whose outside diameter is tapered from its upper end toward lower end, into the hollow part of the positive electrode compound, pressing the top face of the compound with a jig and then cutting the hollow part with a reamer. CONSTITUTION:In the inner wall side of a positive electrode can 1, a positive electrode compound 2 made of manganese dioxide powder is filled in such a manner as to adhere to the side. Into a hollow part 4 of said positive electrode compound 2, a stem 3 made of a metallic body formed into such a dimension that its outside diameter becomes smaller from the upper end thereof toward its lower end is inserted, simultaneously the top face of the positive electrode compound 2 is pressed by a pressing jig 5 made by a metallic body while lowering it from the above. Then after a lifting and removal of the stem 3 and the jig 5, a reamer 6 is inserted into the hollow part 4 of the positive electrode compound allowing its peripheral cutting edge part 7 to cut an inner wall protruding part 8 of the positive electrode compound, and the hollow part 4 is formed into almost the same dimension at its top and bottom inside diameter.
