<p>The potato-harvesting machine separator mechanism is for one with a rotary lifting wheel, inside which is a guide plate, and also a separator belt below its top part, this belt travelling at right angles to separate discharge points for tubers and rubbish. A scraper is mounted above the belt top run. Connected to the guide plate below the top part of the lifting wheel is a cleaning belt, whose top run travels in the opposite direction to that in which the wheel delivers. This top run slopes downwards, away from its travel direction towards the separator belt. The previously-cleaned rubbish is ejected by the cleaning belt between its end and that of the guide plate, and the cleaning and separator belts travel in the same direction.</p> |
