PURPOSE:To finely pulverize quality-deteriorated residual fuel oil without using an emulsifier, by mixing quality-deteriorated residual fuel oil such as molten plastic and high temp. water in an atomizing chip and bumping overheated water droplets under reduced pressure accompanied by the injection from an atomizer. CONSTITUTION:Preheated quality-deteriorated fuel oil 1 and high temp. water 4 are made to coaxially flow through a burner gun and the injection pressure Pw of water is made higher than the injection pressure Pf of fuel oil to blow high temp. and high pressure water into the fuel oil in an atomizing chip 3 to prepare a water in oil type emulsion. Water is heated to saturation temp. or more corresponding to atmospheric pressure after injection and generates abrupt bumping under reduced pressure generated during the passage through a jet orifice 7 and springs out circumferential oil to form mist. The heating temp. of water is set to one reducing the viscosity of the fuel oil to 1,000 poise or less and the upper limit temp. thereof is set to the saturation temp. of water corresponding to the injection pressure of the fuel oil. By this method, because good spraying is obtained, the concn. of soot can be markedly reduced without increasing NOX or SOX and black smoke preventing effect at the time of the starting of a boiler is also attained. |
