SILVER HALIDE PHOTOGRAPHIC MATERIAL

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain a silver halide photographic material with improved thickening effect and an improved hardening degree by adding a sequestering agent to a photographic layer contg. gelatin and a gelatin thickener. CONSTITUTION:To a silver halide emulsion contg. gelatin and a gelatin thickener is added a sequestering agent such as sodium ethylenediaminetetraacetate in an amount of 0.5-60wt% to the amount of the contained gelatin. The resulting emulsion is coated onto resin coated paper or the like together with a gelatin protective layer and dried to obtain a silver halide photographic material having an enhanced hardening degree and maintained or enhanced gloss and thickening effect without deteriorating the photographic characteristics such as sensitivity, gradation and fog.
