PURPOSE:An ethylene oxide adduct to tertiary alcohol is added to an ink-jet recording ink consisting of recording agent and liquid medium to improve recordability and storability and further increasing the resistance of the recorded images to water. CONSTITUTION:To a recording ink consisting of (A) a recording agent for making recorded images such as water-soluble dye and (B) a liquid medium for dissolving the recording agent, is added (C) 0.01-2wt% of ethylene oxide adduct to tertrary alcohol of formula I (R1-R4 are alkyl; m, n are 1 or more; Y is multiple bond), such as compound of formula II (m, n are 1-30). EFFECT:The dissolution stability of the dyes is increased and smooth recording is realized even after recording has been stopped for a long time. |
