<p>A component resistant to abrasion, tearing and traction, in particular a track element shoe for a track-laying vehicle, includes a frame 1 surrounded by a body 4 composed of a moulded and vulcanised mixture of a urethane polymer and a vulcanising agent. The component is produced by introducing a urethane polymer at 90 DEG C +/- 2 DEG C and a diamine as the vulcanising agent at 118 DEG C +/- 2 DEG C into a container preheated to 100 DEG C +/- 5 DEG C in a weight ratio of 100 parts of the urethane polymer to 13 parts of the diamine. After de-gasification, the contents of the container are introduced into a mould which is preheated to an external temperature between 80 and 110 DEG C such that its internal temperature is between 70 and 95 DEG C, any inclusions to be present in the final component being present in the mould and preheated to 80 DEG C +/- 5 DEG C. The internal temperature of the mould is maintained at its preheated value for a time sufficient to vulcanise the urethane polymer, whereafter the moulded component is removed from the mould and cured. <IMAGE></p> |
