<p>A machine for forming sections of expanded synthetic material comprising a forming chamber having one end closed by an end wall slidable inside the chamber, and another open end. The end wall has holes through which male plungers extend into the forming chamber, the plungers being axially slidable with respect to the end wall. Means are provided to slidably move the end wall inside the forming chamber, and to cause the plungers to slide and translate with respect to the end wall. A plug closing the another open and of the forming chamber, the forming chamber having a constant volume during the expansion of the synthetic material. The another open end forms a portion having an axial length of at least the same order as the transverse dimension of a formed section.</p> |
