PURPOSE:To provide a black developable thermal recording material having excellent storage stability, by having at least one of two specific compounds contained as a coupler. CONSTITUTION:In an optical fixing type thermal recording material provided with a recording layer containing a diazonium compound, a coupler and a compound showing basicity at the time of melting under heating, as the coupler, at least one of a compound represented by formula (I) (wherein R1, R2 and R3 are respectively a hydrogen atom, a 1-4C alkyl group, a 1-4C alkoxy group or a halogen atom and R1-R3 may be bonded to each other to form an aromatic ring) and a compound represented by formula (II) (wherein R4 and R5 are respectively a hydrogen atom, a 1-4C alkyl group, a 1-4C alkoxy group or a halogen atom and X is a single bond, a straight chain or branched 1-4C alkylene group, phenylene group, -O-, -S-, -SO2-, -CONH- or a combination group of two or more of the above mentioned groups) is contained to enhance storage stability. |
