4695 CAN Wire measuring and feed apparatus comprising a first and second series of pulleys, the pulleys of each series being mounted for rotation about common axes to receive wires from supply reels and a wire feed nip comprising a series of driven roller pairs, the rollers of each pair being individually biased together to grip wires extending from the pulleys, drive means being provided to move the pulleys apart in a direction transverse to their rotational axes to draw predetermined lengths of wires from the supply reels and to rotate the nip during movement of the pulleys together to feed the drawn wire lengths to an operating station. The rollers of the wire feed nip are preferably mounted for differential slip relative to each other.
