<p>The apparatus for driving magnetic tapes for a tape recorder includes a reversible electromotor connected with two spindles with disconnectable couplings. The mechanical linkage embodies a central spindle (5) with a triple toothed cam (9) with engagement determined by a spring loaded plunger which locks with an inner ring (10). At high rotating speeds the plungers move outwards and engage a depression (13) in the external ring. The adjustable member may take the form of an elastically deformable leaf spring. The arrangement enables a central drive in one direction of rotation to be converted into peripheral drives in either direction at different speeds.</p> |
