摘要

A thin film of liq. hydrophilic material (I) is applied to the road surface and a heated liq. (II) is then applied on top. (II) is compatible with the first substance and its viscosity rises with drop in temp. from that at which it was applied. (II) forms an intimate bond with the road surface and rapidly reaches a viscosity of 103-104 cP. (I) is e.g. a soln. of epoxy or epoxy urethane resin or mixed epoxy/urethane resins, plus plasticiser if desired. Process can be carried out in one operation even on wet roads.
