PURPOSE:To obtain an organic carbonate in high yields, by feeding a quaternary ammonium salt previously added to an alcohol and reacting an organic halogenated compound with the alcohol and CO2. CONSTITUTION:An organic carbonate [e.g., diethylene glycol bis(allylcarbonate)] is obtained from an organic halogenated compound, an alkali metal carbonate, an alcohol, and CO2 as raw materials using a catalyst of a guaternary ammonium salt (e.g., allyltriethylammonium chloride). In the reaction, the quaternary ammonium salt is previously added to the alcohol and fed to the reaction system. Since the catalsyt is used in dispersion in alcohol instead of solid state itself, this solid-liquid reaction is considered to be catalyzed well and to reduce a side reaction. |
