PURPOSE:To obtain a facsimile equipment of simple circuit constitution which operates stably, by using a line memory, stored with picture signals, even for pattern signal storage. CONSTITUTION:The output of quantizing circuit 6 is supplied to deciding circuit 8 to judge whether one scanning line is all white. When so, switch 11 is placed at side (b) to write a code pattern, set previously in pattern generator 9, in memory A7A. In this case, since the bit length of a pattern signal generated by generator 9 is normally shorter than that of a picture signal, the read clock of the pattern signal of generator 9 is slow and write pulses to memory 7 are fast and equal to those of an ordinary picture signal, so that the pattern signal generated by generator 9 can be recorded in the entire memory 7. Thus, memory 7 can be used as a picture-signal storage line memory and code-signal write memory. |
