PURPOSE:To obtain a self-fluxing formed coke suitable for use as a raw material for a blast furnace by using a finely divided coke, by a method wherein the finely divided coke is added to a cement to produce an agglomerate, and the cement contained therein is cured to harden the agglomerate. CONSTITUTION:A cement is mixed with a finely divided coke such as coke having a particle diameter of not more than 10mm.. The mixt. of the cement and the finely divided coke is briquetted to given an agglomerate having a particle size of 10- 75mm., which is suitable for use as a raw-material for a blast furnace. The obtained aglomerate is air-dried in a hardening tank to cure the cement contained therein. By this curing, the agglomerate having the required strength is obtained. |
