PURPOSE:To avoid getting such a fear that wheels are suddenly steered, by installing an engine start forbidding device which forbids an engine start at a time when an indicating target steering angle and a detection steering angle are not accorded with each other. CONSTITUTION:In this device, there is provided with an engine stop discriminator circuit 21 consisting of a generator 19 to be driven by engine output, an F/V converter 20 converting the frequency into F/V and outputting this voltage, a comparator A1 comparing an output voltage of this F/V converter 20 with the preset reference voltage and an inverter G1 inverting the output. And, when the engine whose stop signal S1 is in an H level is in stoppage, and a target steering angle theta0 in which at least one side of coincidence signals S2 and S3 is in an L level and an actual steering angle theta are incongruity with each other, the output comes to the L level and thereby current-energization to a starter motor 25 is interrupted. |
