PURPOSE:To load and unload a bulk cargo so effectively even at time of rainy weather, by sucking bulk materials inside the hold whose floor plate is formed into a horizontal surface and closed by an upper plate through a flexible transport pipe shifting on a floor board. CONSTITUTION:A collecting cyclone 11 and a suction device 17 or the like are provided for at the quaywall side, and the transport pipe 10 connected to this collecting cyclone 11 is coupled with a flexible transport pipe 9. Next, a suction device 17 is driven and sucks bulk materials out of a suction port 9a of the transport pipe 9. The sucked bulk materials are gathered into the collecting cyclone 11. And, when these bulk materials run short as being suctioned, a screw 25 is rotated, gathering bulk materials at the side part of a hold 5 together to the side of the suction port 9a in the center, and they are sucked. Then, a horizontal member 27 is moved over the whole surface of a floorboard 3 by a driving device 23 whereby these bulk materials are sucked. Thus, these bulk materials inside the hole are handleable so efficiently even the hold is in a state of being closed by an upper plate 4 at the time of rainy weather or the like and, what is more, since the bottom of a ship is formed into horizontaily, a cargo other than these bulk materials is transportable as well.
