PURPOSE:To divide an optional polygon image into a concave polygon by adding a prescribed calculation to the coordinate value of respective apexes, judging successively the concave and convex of respective apexes in one direction and dividing the polygon by the segment to the peak point which is not adjoining a concave point. CONSTITUTION:A logical calculating circuit 1 includes a CPU 3, a ROM 3 and a RAM 5, inputs successively the coordinate value of respective apexes, executes the prescribed calculation, detects a convex point and a convave point, further, dissolves them to a convex polygon or a triangle, and outputs the apex coordinates of a graphic after dissolving, to a buffer 2. When an external host computer, etc., detect a buffer READY signal, they receive the data in the buffer 2. The CPU 3 adds the prescribed calculation to the coordinate value, judges successively the concave and convex of respective apexes in one direction and divides the polygon by the segment to link the apex which is not adjoining the concave point and the concave point.
