PURPOSE:To efficiently, speedily, and continuously carry out the handling work without throwing down the article on warehousing and shipping by installing one edge of a looking-up conveyor, interlocked with the raising and lowering of a transfer device. CONSTITUTION:An article transfer conveyor 5 in a stacker crane B on the shipping side is installed so as to connect the roller conveyor 34 of a crane body 3 and the conveyor 42 on a dolly. In other words, one edge is supported in turnable ways onto the fulcrum 31a in an elevation part 31, and the other edge is positioned at the equal height to an article carrying-out conveyor C and supported in turnable ways onto the fulcrum 41a of a loading part 41. Therefore, the article transfer conveyor 5 transfers articles F, F,... onto the article carrying-out conveyor C from a shipping device 32 in a descent, horizontal, or an ascent slope, swinging around the fulcrum 41a of a dolly 4 by the rising and lowering of the elevation part 31, and has the function for pulling the dolly 4, following the self travel of the crane body 3.
