PURPOSE:To easily attain the correspondence between image information on a retrieving result and retrieval information, by securing the correspondence between the display position of the retrieval information on an information display means and the position of the image information corresponding to the retrieval information. CONSTITUTION:A control means 4 retrieves the retrieval information coincident with the retrieving conditions out of an information memory means 5. The retrieved retrieval information is displayed on an information display means 6 and at the same time the image information corresponding to said retrieval information is read out of a picture memory means 1 to an image memory means 2. Then the image information is displayed on an image display means 3. These retrieval and image information corresponding to each other are displayed at the same coordinate position where both means 6 and 3 are corresponding to each other.
