PURPOSE:To reduce the depth of the indoor unit of an air conditioner for permitting it to be used also as an interior decordation by arranging heat exchangers on both sides of the fan casing, and providing room-air inlet ports on the rear and the sides of the body. CONSTITUTION:A body 2 contains a fan casing 6 and heat exchangers 13 on both sides of the fan casing, and is provided with air inlet ports 4 on both sides of the rear and a portion of each side. A front panel 3 has supply opening 5 on the lower part. The fan casing 6 has an air inlet port 8 on the front, a supply opening 9 pointing forward, and a saucer 10. Room air inhaled through the inlet ports 4 passes through the heat exchangers 13, flows through the air inlet port 8 of the fan casing 6, and is blown off back into the room through the supply openings 9 and 5. Thus, the indoor unit can be thinned, so that it can be used also as an interior decoration. |
