Y-section roofing beam - uses section of ordinary reinforced concrete to connect two prestressed reinforced concrete longerons

The roofing beam of Y-section and non-uniform height is made up of upper (1) and lower (3) sections of prestressed reinforced concrete connected by sections (5) of ordinary reinforced concrete, the beam being cast in one piece. The ends of the beam (6) are filled in to allow variation in beam length at the time of casting. The limbs of the upper section define a water drainage channel and have, along their edges, undulations (7) which cooperate with corrugated roofing sheets. The lower section also carries indentations (3B) which cooperate with sheets which make up the ceiling.
