The support is made of a single length of wire which is bent into a serpentine shape (1) near the free end. The wire is then formed into a U-bend (2) doubling back on itself with a second series of meanders (3) positioned face to face with the first one. The other end of the wire is formed into a double-looped ring (5) which is closed by brazing. The two serpentine sections are formed in parallel planes and hold the material used for the dental imprint between them.
